Puerto Rico Day Parade New Date Announcement

After the recent postponement of the Greater Hartford Puerto Rican Day Parade and Festival del Coqui, we are pleased to announce the rescheduled date. The event, originally planned for September 10, 2023, was delayed as a mark of respect for the fallen officer of the Hartford Police Department.

The parade and festival will now take place on Sunday, October 8, 2023, promising a vibrant celebration of Puerto Rican culture and community. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their understanding and support during this time.

Greater Hartford Puerto Rican Day Parade and Festival del Coqui Postponed

Hartford, CT - In light of the tragic loss suffered by our community, CICD Puerto Rican Parade regrets to announce the postponement of all festivities originally scheduled for this coming Sunday September 10th, 2023. This includes all three events previously announced, Faith Outreach Concert, PR Parade, and the Festival del Coquí.

As you may already know, a dedicated member of the Hartford Police Department, made the ultimate sacrifice while in the line of duty last night. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends, and colleagues of Officer Bobby Garten during this difficult time.

Harford, CT – July 31, 2023 - The CICD Puerto Rican Parade, Inc. is thrilled to announce the theme, delegates, and music artists for its highly anticipated 2023 Greater Hartford Puerto Rican Day Parade & Festival Del Coqui. As one of the largest celebrations of Puerto Rican heritage in Connecticut, this year's parade will highlight the themes of Unity and Solidarity, aiming to bring the community together in a spirit of togetherness and support.
